Polemicists.
We’re
supposed to be convinced by Richard Dawkins
And
that poor crippled guy with the robot voice,
Trying
to punish God before they die.
Please
don’t mention the Cox man, his shark’s teeth
Gleaming,
as he’s made to look at the sky.
With
words like wonder they deface magic,
Replace
it with ornate frozen logic
Which,
don’t get me wrong fascinates,
On
it the modern world of Angry Birds and OMG
Depends;
a billion transistors in my pocket can’t be wrong;
As
for quantum physics, bring it on -
But
don’t pretend it’s beautiful, just true.
Feel
free to stay awake, Dick, while others dream
Just
don’t mistake yours morals for the machine.

That's some gutsy poetry right there. I love the heart of this poem.
